About

Rethinking identity security from first principles

For years, identity security has run on assumed trust and cleaning up after the fact. Attacking is effectively free, so the whole burden of defense falls on you. AuthLN flips that — it puts the cost back on the attacker.

Why we built it

Security forgot about consequences

AuthLN started with something our founder, Mike Siers, learned a long way from cybersecurity. In the military, an attacker who comes at you faces real consequences — and that, more than any wall, is what keeps most of them from trying. In cybersecurity, attackers face almost none. They can hit your front door a thousand times a day, fail every time, and lose nothing.

Mike has spent his career in territory no one had mapped — including building the world's first commercialized metabolic product line for ALS patients. He brought that same from-scratch thinking to identity security and asked a different question: not how do we block more attacks? but how do we make attacking cost something?

That question became Pay Factor Authentication — AuthLN's patented way of putting a real, unavoidable cost on every unauthorized attempt. Legitimate users never feel it. Attackers finally do.

Mission

"In the military, we were taught to strike back. In cybersecurity, we're taught to absorb and report. AuthLN changes that."

Our mission is to make cybercrime unprofitable.
